The exciting and challenging customer projects, which the Innologics consultants met with every day, means that can be several weeks between they see their colleagues except from those they are working together with on the same project. Therefore, a recent three-day trip to Edinburgh in connection with the company’s 10th anniversary was a welcome opportunity to talk and network – through lectures, contests, whiskey tasting or morning jogs.
Innologic has grown a lot in the 10 years that have passed since the establishment of the company. It is not just the sales figures, but also the headcount verify growth. With busy weekdays, which often take place at the customers, Innologic’s consultants do not see each other that often. Thus, the trip to Edinburgh was so successful, says Senior BI Consultant Anders Toft, who has been with the company since 2006.
“The three days in Edinburgh gave us time to talk, compete and get better acquainted with some of the new consultants. In everyday life, it is often those you know, that you contact with questions or just talk to, but by taking three days out of the calendar, we all got the chance to know one another in a new way. ”
Space for concept development and Growth
While the social was prioritized during the three days in Edinburgh, the trip also ground for further development and growth of the company in the future, predicts Managing BI Consultant David Westergaard. By knowing colleagues well, there is greater room for development of ideas and openness in everyday life.
“By spending time with colleagues in Edinburgh we have got improved relations between all of us. It is essential for Innologic, because when we create network and personal relationships internally, it is easier to ask the colleagues if you encounter a challenge. Moreover, more and more of our projects requires a team effort, and therefore it is important that we know each other and each other’s skills in depth.”
David Westergaard joined Innologic three years ago, and he enjoys the informal atmosphere that prevails in the company. It makes life and work relaxed and fun, and it is important, he says, because it makes room for ideas and saying what you mean. An impression, Anders Toft supports and continues that a good community and a listening management group is what characterizes Innologic as a workplace.
Conversations facilitates collaboration across
The trip, in the occasion of Innologic’s 10th anniversary, underlined exactly the working environment, because the trip had room for conversations and team competitions – whether it was the highland games, taxi rally or a quiet run for the early birds. Innologic growths is due to not only the consultants’ dedication and high professional level. The company also appreciates the employees’ own initiatives and ideas, and collaboration across the organization. In addition, to do this, it is important to know each other personally and professionally, concludes Anders Toft and David Westergaard in concurrence.
